The art of blending matters more than ever in the face of climate change. In this webinar Lars Leicht, VP education for The SOMM Journal, hosts three winemakers known for their meticulous blends and global insights. “Flying winemaker” Michel Rolland is a superstar who has made over 150 award-winning wines spanning a 40-year career, including the ‘ultimate blend’ Clos de los Siete from Argentina’s Uco Valley. Across the equator to California, where winemaker James MacPhail is deeply rooted in Sonoma County, producing critically acclaimed Pinot Noir and Chardonnay for The Calling, while winemaker Glenn Hugo crafts authentic, small lot blends for Girard Winery in Napa Valley. Collectively, this winemaking trio has experienced 100 harvests.
