Gavi DOCG Comes to New York City!

Gavi DOCG Comes to New York City!

On Wednesday, September 7, from 11:00am to 5:00pm, New York’s Midtown Loft & Terrace, 267 Fifth Avenue, Suite 100, with its amazing view over Manhattan, will host the largest event dedicated to Gavi DOCG ever organized.

The initiative is promoted by the Consorzio Tutela del Gavi and is reserved to the press and industry professionals who will have the chance to taste over 60 Gavi DOCG labels as well as discover all the nuances of this inclusive and naturally sophisticated white wine made with 100% Cortese grapes.

Aside from the walk-around tasting, there will also be two thematic masterclasses conducted by Walter Speller, the Italian editor for jancisrobinson.com. The masterclasses will focus on the unique characteristics of the Cortese grape and its potential for aging:

  • 11:00 am: Gavi DOCG: Exploring the Latest Vintages
  • 1:30pm: The Hidden Depths of Gavi – the Ageing Potential of Piemonte’s Great White.

New York will be the last leg of the Gavi World Tour: a series of events organized by the Consorzio, in Italy and abroad, to promote one of Piedmont’s most interesting denominations.
